Welcome ot my digital garden (https://indieweb.org/digital_garden).
A “digital garden” might look like another name for a personal website but it really isn’t. It’s much much less complicated especially because it’s constantly evolving and it’s constantly a work in progress. It’s technically much less complicated to operate and “tend” (I’m using https://www.npmjs.com/package/markdown-folder-to-html), and conceptually has many fewer barriers to entry.
My garden #
In mine, I discuss ideas concepts and hobby projects - primarily software projects (and hopefully others in the future) - that I’m thinking about or am actively working on.
Some are FOSS, some proprietary, some might make sense some might not. What’s important is - I want to share these ideas publicly and build at least some of them publicly.
I’ll perhaps make commenting possible later on and will put a contact someplace so anyone who wants to get involved in any of the projects or has advice to give or questions to ask can do so privately.
My projects #
(I’ve got a couple of them and I’ll add them here as I have at least something written about them)
Software #
- microads (name is wip) a barebones ad platform intended to help get indie projects off the ground (in terms of marketing)
- cardcraft (name is wip) a B2B game engine for collectible card games
- buoy a skill sharing platform
- www work relating to markweb/kyuweb/web1.1(reinventingtheweb.com)
- unpopular programming meetup idea: organize meetups for programming but with a focus on less popular languages
Others #
- livestreaming language learning with transcription https://www.youtube.com/@oazesnova
- dev blog where I write about stuff that is unique and difficult to troubleshoot https://parallel-experiments.github.io/
- a discord for teaming up to participate in hackathons, game jams, doing random projects together etc https://discord.gg/a7FccyyErb
Interesting gardens, webrings, indiewebs etc #
I’m new to this I’ll update the section once I know more.
